I haven't even touched Blogger in years... but it's still here I guess. It seems nothing related to Google will ever die.
In case you couldn't guess, I'm a gamer. I have been most of my life, but especially throughout my teenage years. I'm in college now, and need to be more wary of the games I play, since I don't have the time I once did. And, in focusing this way, I've decided to start exploring classic game franchises, starting from the original (or whatever the most recent remake of it is) and see how the series progressed over time. I do plan on making this a YouTube series eventually, and I've already started planning for series I've played ad nauseam, like Zelda and Sonic. However, there are some franchises I've barely touched, and have to play a lot more games to really get a grasp on what to look for. But I still want to share my experiences.
This is what this blog is for. For me to chronicle my experiences in specific games and see if I deem the series to be worthy of continuing through.
Note, I won't be covering all game franchises. Anything that started "recently" (probably anything beyond the sixth generation) I won't be covering. Also, game franchises with pretty straightforward narratives, such as Halo, won't be covered, since their stories don't need much exploration to truly grasp.
There will also be times when I discuss tie-in materials, such as the first two Megami Tensei books by Aya Nishitani, but I can't promise to do the same for every series. I'll probably avoid reference books, like the Hyrule Historia, or series that spun off into a whole universe of tie-in novels, like Warcraft.
If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to ask! I'm always happy to chat with people!
Until then,
Chase
